Renew an Old Drop Ceiling

If Your Suspended Ceiling Has Seen Better Days, This is for You

Suspended ceilings are popular in homes, business and offices. This is because they are easy to renew or replace.

Suspended ceilings offer easy replacement because the materials commonly used in these ceilings do not age very well. They absorb dirt and odors and can sag with humidity. Over time, a drop ceiling can take on a dirty appearance from dust and microscopic particles in the air. This is caused by cooking, appliances, office machines, smoke, traffic, air pollution and any number of molds and pollens that float invisibly on the air everywhere.

Let The Video Show You How

This video shows you how to use grid sleves to renew a drop ceiling grid that has become dirty, rusted or discolored after years of support. You can save a bundle on renewing an old suspended ceiling.

If you are the unhappy owner of a worn out drop ceiling, it may surprise you that you have one of the easiest ceilings there is to renew. It can be very attractive and even luxurious looking. The metal suspension system may have become corroded or discolored or rusted, but there are easy and inexpensive solutions. The grid can be repainted in position, with the old tiles still in place. Or nice new lightweight grid sleeves can cover those old ugly ceiling supports if you prefer.

Find the Right Tiles for Your Drop Ceiling Renewal

The old tiles can be removed and used as a base for new, lightweight, rustproof tin-look ceiling panels. Faux Tin is available in colors and designs to suit any ceiling. Whether you are renewing a suspended ceiling in a theater, bank, restaurant, an office or your home, it is fast and inexpensive.

Choose from easy to install designs in a non porous, non absorbent wipe-clean PVC plastic. There are lightweight tiles in material that glues right over your old stained drop-down ceiling panels so the gluing is done at a workbench height, not up on a ladder. When you do go up the ladder, installation is less work than replacing light bulbs.

There are also tiles to drop into your grid without gluing at all. Your choice! An average sized room can be done in one day for much less than you may think. It is the easiest and fastest way to renew a ceiling and make the whole room look like new.
